Acquisition announcement - Talking Business

We are pleased to announce our latest acquisition. On the 1st April 24, The Business Supplies Group (BSG) officially acquired Talking Business, a long-standing business with a great reputation for servicing customers with workwear, office supplies and furniture in the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire counties.

This latest acquisition helps support our strategic business growth, providing an additional key distribution centre in the region, as we continue to support existing BSG and Talking Business customers.

“After 32 years of running Talking Business, I have finally decided it is time to retire from the business.  I have enjoyed building the company up over the years and working with my loyal team, but it’s now the right time to change my lifestyle and spend more time with my family and out on the golf course.”
Chris Hills, former Director of Talking Business

Talking Business customers will benefit from some additional BSG services including;

  • In-house print production capabilities, catering to short digital print runs as well as specialised litho printing projects.

  • In-house workwear personalisation services utilising our embroidery, printing, and badging facilities.

  • Managed Printer Services, featuring our own team of engineers and distribution network. We offer flexible six-month contracts in collaboration with leading manufacturers.

  • Dedicated office furniture team offering comprehensive space planning services for innovative and sustainable interior solutions.

As part of our continuous investment programme, the Berkshire team will be relocating to new premises on the Slough Industrial Estate on the 13th May 2024! We will continue to service customers using our own BSG vehicles as normal. Our new Berkshire site will include both new office space for the sales and customer service teams and a state-of-the-art storage facility to manage our distribution function.

Talking Business customers will see very little change on a day-to-day basis, other than the new branding. So, it really is business as usual!
