What is TECcare Control?

TECcare Control: optimal protection against COVID-19.

TECcare Control is a zero-chlorine, zero-alcohol disinfectant with documented effectiveness against enveloped viruses such as the novel coronavirus.

TECcare Control can kill 99.999% of viruses within minutes, based on accredited testing according to the internationally recognised EN14476 Virucidal Efficacy test protocol. 

The product is proven to kill several coronavirus types, including:

• Human coronavirus

• SARS-associated coronavirus

• Canine coronavirus

TECcare Control is formulated with cationic surfactants benzalkonium chloride (BAC) and didecyldimethyl ammonium chloride (DDAC), with an adjuvant effect for enhanced antimicrobial efficacy.

Longer-term virus protection

Importantly, TECcare Control continues to attenuate or kill surface microbes for hours or days after it has been applied to surfaces. This means that any virus particles coming into contact with a surface disinfected with TECcare Control will also be attacked by the disinfectant, making those particles less likely to affect anyone that subsequently touches them.

How TECcare Control works

Coronavirus has been classified as an ‘enveloped’ virus. This means it has a similar physical structure to other enveloped viruses: the capsid, containing the nucleic acid vital for viral replication, is enveloped by a lipid membrane.

This lipid membrane contains lipids and proteins which bind to receptors on host cells, and which enable the virus to infect those cells.

By corrupting the lipid membrane and changing the shape and structure of the binding proteins, TECcare Control effectively disintegrates the physical structure of the enveloped virus, thus rendering it ineffective and no longer able to cause infection.

TECCare Control will also attack any other bacteria, bacterial spores, fungi or viruses on surfaces, contributing to an even cleaner and safer environment.

Where to use TECcare Control

TECcare Control is developed for use in all environments, on all hard and soft surfaces, equipment, and in the air. It is designed for locations in which it’s essential to establish the cleanest possible surroundings whilst reducing the number of microbes present, and where users wish to interrupt key air and surface transmission pathways and reduce the risk of infection, cross-infection, contamination and spoilage.

As a combined disinfectant and cleaner, TECcare Control is intended for single-stage cleaning and disinfection protocols. Where a two-stage clean and disinfect process is mandated, TECcare Control can be used for either stage.
